University of Al Quaraouiyine, Morocco

The University of Al Quaraouiyine is one of the oldest universities in the world and is located in Morocco. It was founded in 856 as a mosque and latter on became one of the highest spiritual and educational institute in historic Muslim world. After some years, it was incorporated into Morocco’s state university in the year 1963 that was when it was officially named, University of Al Quaraouiyine.
